ten things sunday

ten things i love sunday…disney style!

well, i’m back home just in time for “things i love sunday.” though i’d rather still be at disney world. 😉  we had a great time. instead of the normal ten things this week, i’m going to do ten things i loved about our trip! here we go…

1.  bus to magic kingdom from our resort on the first day. look how excited we are! (hubster says, “you’re going to use up all your camera battery before we even get there if you don’t stop taking bus pictures.”)

2. safari at animal kingdom. this is *not* zoomed. this giraffe was actually this close to our truck thingy!

3. cosmic ray’s starlight diner in tomorrowland. it’s sort of a tradition that this is the first place we eat. yeah…we have weird traditions…

4. the flower and garden festival at epcot. everything’s so pretty!

5. my new boyfriend. alas, we had to break up before i went home, because he simply would not fit in my luggage.

6.  character sightings!!!

7.  the really cool way disney lets you in on behind-the-scenes stuff. i watched this little otter have his annual physical (he was asleep).

8. one of my most favorite rides EVER!  i love that floaty feeling when you shoot up really fast, right before you fall back down. so fun! i do have to admit that i was scared out of my wits the very first time i ever rode it. 😉

9. how much laughing we did (& usually do when the three of us are together) all week. especially on the car rides to & from orlando.

10.  how beautiful & authentic all the countries seem in the world showcase at epcot. i love how the people that work in each country are actually from there. the hubs asks them soooo many questions. lol

and one to grow on…

making faces while riding the ferry to the magic kingdom. while all others stand/sit around bored on the dumb boat, we find great ways to amuse ourselves. hee.

the end. (for this time anyway. we’ll be back next year!)

things i love sunday.

1. our new liberty of london bedding from target!! isn’t it gorgeous?! i can’t wait to put it on our bed after we get it all washed. 🙂  *everything* is beautiful in this collection. check it out quickly, because a lot of it is already sold out!

2. heart-shaped teacup! how cute! found via hello tiger, which is a very cool blog with lots of pretty & neat stuff.

3. a beautiful room for a little girl! or for someone like me who just likes pretty pink things. hee.

4. another cool collage i love. (i can’t remember where i found it…)

5. speaks for itself. 🙂

6. pretty wrapping papers from a gift wrapped life.

7. remember this movie? how dang cute were these kids?!

8. the happy lady eats blog has become oh joy eats, but it is still as beautiful & yummy as ever!

9. very, very pretty ladylike look from anthropologie.

10. i was just thinking of having a really nice bath. wouldn’t it be lovely to have something like this, where i could write or put my book or teacup?

and speaking of lovely baths, look at this one!!

that’s it for this week! hopefully i’ll be more present in the blogosphere since i’m feeling much better. 🙂

things i love sunday.

yes, i’m still sick. thought i was on my deathbed friday night. today i’m feeling a bit better, but my whole body’s still really sore/achy. at least i can keep food down, though. knock on wood. here are the things i love this week:

1. our new wii! i guess the hubster felt really bad for me yesterday, because i was bored beyond belief from just lying in the recliner all day long. plus, he gave me this dang virus! (well, he and foxycleopatra both, i suppose, b/c he got it at the same time she did.) anyway, he finally bought us a wii. we got the new super mario bros, which is super cool. it’s just like the old one but with a lot of enhancements and cool new things.

2. i love this necklace from just be designs on etsy.

3. look at this forever 21 storefront in tokyo! it’s really cool.

4. red velvet art‘s new spring line has some stuff that is oh-so-“holy cute!”

5. my heating pad has become my best friend over the past couple of days. 🙂

6. i am simply amazed by the bridal gowns from bridal bliss designs on etsy. my favorites are the lovely vintage-inspired ones, but there are also gorgeous modern gowns. and the most incredible part? the prices are (clockwise from top left) $598, $584, $587, and $620. where else are you going to get a beautiful, custom-made dress for a price like that?  if i weren’t already married, i’d definitely be shopping etsy for my wedding gown!

7. elizabethtown is such a good movie. directed by cameron crowe, it stars the likes of orlando bloom, kirsten dunst, susan sarandon, alec baldwin, and even the lovely & hilarious paula deen has a cameo. you should watch it. i might just have to watch it tomorrow…

8. letters! actual, honest-to-goodness, hand-written, snail mail letters! this is why i’ve joined a pen pal group over at get the words out. i’m so excited! i can’t wait to get a letter in the mail from someone awesome.

9. i bet i would feel tons better if i had this to lie on instead of the recliner…

10. exactly one month til we leave for disney world! i’m thankful that we all got sick *before* our trip. it would not be any fun to be sick or recuperating at disney world!
