nanowrimo: the halfway point

i know it’s sunday, and i should be doing a “things i love sunday” post, but i’m super busy with nanowrimo right now. my current grand total is 21,231 words. tomorrow is the 15th, which is the official halfway point. i was doing really well for a while there, but the first weekend taught me that weekend days/evenings are *not* the best or easiest times for writing. so while i was still ahead, it was only by slightly. then i had a catastrophe with my computer and lost the 500 words or so i’d written before that particular disaster took place. 500 words may not sound like a lot, but when you lose them, it really is. lol

anyway, since tomorrow marks the halfway point, i should have 25,000 word by the end of the day. however, me being me, i feel the need to be ahead. also, we leave thursday afternoon for our cruise! so i really want to be ahead of the game so i won’t have to write a whole lot while we’re on vacation.

my goal was to reach 25,000 by the end of today. i can still do it. i know i can. it’s just a matter of sitting down and writing. might have to treat myself to a glass of wine for inspiration. lol

here’s a little diagram of my workspace from last tuesday:

here’s my daily goal chart:

that’s it for now. i’m going to get back to writing now! i’ll try to update again sometime this week. 🙂

  1. Hey, I have to write tonight too… so let me know if you want to challenge each other! I’ve got 15,000 right now, and I’d love to get at least 2,000 more tonight.
